Persons and Family Relations 4

A basic course on the law of persons and the family which first views the effect and application of laws and the law on human relations and then proceeds to examine the legal norms affecting civil personality, marriage, property relations between husband and wife, legal separation, the matrimonial regimes of absolute community, conjugal partnerships of gains, complete separation of property, family, paternity and filiation, adoption, guardianship, support, parental authority, surnames, absence and emancipation including the rules of procedure relative to the foregoing.

Constitutional Law 1 3
A survey and evaluation of basic principles dealing with the structure of the Philippine Government.

LAW 113
Criminal Law 1 3
A detailed examination into the characteristics of criminal law, the nature of felonies, stage of execution, circumstances affecting criminal liability, persons criminally liable, and extinction of criminal liability as well as the civil liability of the offender, what it includes extinction and survival of civil liability of the offender, what it includes, extinction and survival of civil liability, as well as the understanding of penalties in criminal law their nature and theories, classes of crimes, habitual delinquency, the Indeterminate sentence law and the Probation Law. The course covers Art. 1-113 of the Revised Penal Code and related laws.

This is the study of the general principles governing municipal corporation, the laws affecting the creation, organization and government of provinces, cities, municipalities, municipal districts and barrios.

Administrative Law 2

The development and application of principles and doctrines governing administrative agencies with rule-making and adjudicative functions.

Sales 2
An in-depth study of the provisions of the civil code in contract of Sales, its nature forms the obligation of the vendors and the vendees, warranties, remedies, breach of contracts, and conventional and legal redemption. The course includes assignment of credits, incorporation rights, the Bulk Sales Law and the Nationalization Law.

A detailed evaluation of the law on testate and intestate succession, including wills, institution of heirs, disinheritance & partition and distribution of the estate. The course also takes up rules of procedure on the law of settlement & administration of the estate of deceased persons.

This treats special laws related to and complementing Commercial Laws such as Banking Laws, Securities Act, Warehouse Receipts Law, Truth in Lending Act, BOI Law, Price Tag Law and E-commerce.

Supervised student practice under Rule 135- A of the Rules of Court including conference with clients, preparation of pleadings and motions, appearance in court, handling of trial and preparation of memorandum. A comprehensive study of the Constitution, the bill of rights and judicial review on acts affecting them.

A comprehensive appraisal of specific felonies penalized in Book II of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, their nature, elements and corresponding penalties.

Special Penal Laws 2
This course deals on penal Laws not covered by the Revised Penal Code such as laws on graft and corruption, bouncing checks, dangerous drugs, gambling, firearms, highway robbery and piracy.

An introduction of legal writing techniques. It involves applied legal bibliography, case digesting and reporting analysis, legal reasoning and preparation of legal opinions or memoranda.

The subject aims to provide a compact yet substantial information and knowledge on the basic principles of Taxation, The National Revenue Code incorporating when relevant, provisions of related statutes, decrees and regulations on Taxation.

A course dealing with legal transactions or relationships involving foreign elements with emphasis on the choice of law methods, including problems in jurisdiction and enforcement of foreign judgment.

Practice Court II 2
Holding of court trials as if in a Regional Trial Court, where the rules of Court, are strictly observed. The professor in charge prepares statements of facts and each one of them is made the basis of a complaint and answer. The lawyers, litigants and witnesses are all members of the class, and the professor acts as judge. It is made obligatory upon the students, acting, and their cases orally argued immediately after the evidence is closed.
