COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is intended to equip the graduate school students with the necessary knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts, principles, types of research, research methods, statistical procedure and data analysis. It deals with the nature and characteristics of research and its scientific methodology to solve problems and enlighten the graduate students the systematic endeavor starting from the problem formulation through writing and presenting a research.

This course focuses on the management behavior and practices of educational administrators in the school system. It includes the influences affecting management behavior, the management processes and practices, leadership behavior and the prospect of improving behavior in the educational administration.

COURSE TITLE: PRINCIPLES OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The course provides the basic knowledge of guidance and counseling. It is concerned with the understanding of the individual and the principles, techniques, methods and strategies of guidance and counseling. To assist the individual makes an intelligent choice and adjustment to his/her environment and society is also a major concern of the course.

COURSE TITLE: CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

COURSE CREDIT: 3 UNITS

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course tends to familiarize and to let the students understand the psychopathology of the human behavior. Specifically, this subject matter focuses more on the abnormal behavior, causal factors and clinical assessment, stress and adjustment behavior, mood disorders and suicide, eating problem, personality disorder, substance related disorder, sexual variant dysfunctions, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorder.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course provides the basic methods in test construction, administration, scoring, statistical tabulation and computations, analysis and interpretations of test results. It provides the minim knowledge and skill computations of different statistical measurements and give meanings to test scores. The mechanics and processes of testing which are utilized in the treatment of guidance data are the main focus of this course.

This course presents systems theory and how it is applied in understanding the changing environments of the workplace. Theoretical and practical issues of leadership systems are presented with a particular emphasis on work ethics and on issues related to diversity. Integrative processes are explored as a means of developing effective approaches to a variety of human systems and management systems. Broadly speaking, this course is about effective leadership, diversity, inclusion and advocacy. This will look at social/political and cultural considerations of leadership in education and at issues of power in variety of actions and institutions.

This course is designed to provide an opportunity for graduate school students to study and participate in advanced course of oral communication. It allows students to learn effective methods of communicating both their own ideas and those of others.
