SWU Text Messaging Service |
Southwestern University Globe Telecom’s Text Connect Service delivers cost-effective real-time information to the university populace. TxtConnect is an information broadcast medium that sends information to everyone registered with the service from SWU computer terminal.
SWU Globe Telecom’s TxtConnect Service:
- Disseminates information to all registered subscribers (students, their parents and guardians, faculty and staff) schedules of examination, start and end of classes; deadline for enrollment, payment; school activities; cancellation of classes due to bad weather and the like;
- Updates subscribers about board topnotchers, Siglakas winners; winners of off and on campus contests;
- Promotes undergraduate and post graduate programs, books and other publications, special seminars and other program offerings.
Being registered with TXTConnect, you can have:
- Peace of mind – Parents and students can be updated about latest grades, account balances and schedules.
- Convenience – Parents living outside of Cebu City can get real-time information without leaving their homes or spending for expensive long distance calls.
- Quick and efficient service – The administration and faculty can send out information quickly to all target recipients.
Globe, SMART or SunCellular subscribers can register to TxtConnect. Registered users will receive information from SWU FREE of charge. However, P2.50 will be charged for communication initiated by the subscriber such as inquiry of grades or account balances. (P1.00 is deducted from their load when they text their inquiries to TxtConnect system and another P1.50 is charged to them when they receive information from SWU).
